Rémi Ochlik en Visa pour l'Image 2012

Perpignan photojournalism festival to honour slain reporter
PARIS — This year's Perpignan photojournalism festival will pay special tribune to Remi Ochlik, a French photographer killed in Syria in February, with one of its prizes being named after him, organisers said Wednesday.
The annual festival, held from August 29 to September 4 in the southwestern French city, will see the prize awarded to a young journalist named after Ochlik whose works will also be displayed.
Ochlik, 28, was killed by shelling in Homs on February 22, along with US reporter Marie Colvin.
The festival will showcase some 30 exhibitions, including one by US photographer Stanley Greene on how electronic goods are recycled in Nigeria, China, India, and Pakistan, and one by US photographer Doug Menuez on innovations in Silicon Valley.
Agence France-Presse photographer Massoud Hossaini, who was last month awarded a Pulitzer Prize, will see his work in Afghanistan featured at the festival which last year welcomed some 3,000 professional photographers from 58 countries
